FOUZIA HARRINGTONINDEPENDENT LEADERSHIP AND DELIVERY
When to bring me in

When progress feels difficult, unclear or stuck,
I help organisations find a way forward.

Common Challenges

When you do not know where to start

The issue may be visible, but there is no shared understanding of the underlying problem or the right starting point.

I work with organisations to step back, examine the evidence and different perspectives and establish a shared understanding of what needs to be addressed.

When progress has stalled

Everyone knows something needs to change, but progress has slowed or stopped. The reasons may be unclear, relationships may have become strained, confidence may have been lost, or organisations may simply lack the capacity or momentum needed to move forward.

I identify what is preventing progress, create the conditions for the right conversations and decisions, and restore momentum.

When priorities compete

Organisations may share the same overall goal, but different responsibilities, priorities and pressures can make progress difficult.

I surface and work through those differences, build alignment and establish the practical arrangements needed to move forward together.

When strategic ambition needs turning into delivery

The strategy may be agreed, but it is not yet clear what it means in practice, what needs to happen first or how delivery will be organised.

I turn strategic ambition into clear priorities, decisions and practical arrangements that enable delivery.

How I can help

  • Challenges and opportunities I support include:

    • strategic change and transformation
    • programme recovery and delivery
    • commissioning and service transformation
    • neighbourhood and place-based development
    • governance, accountability and decision-making
    • local government reorganisation and devolution

These are not separate services or standard packages. Each assignment is shaped around the challenge and may range from a focused review or piece of specialist support to programme leadership, delivery support, organisational change and senior interim roles.

Also available for senior interim leadership roles

Where a period of transition, recovery or significant change requires experienced leadership capacity, I am also available to discuss senior interim leadership roles.

Bringing in additional expertise when needed

Most assignments are delivered personally, giving clients direct access to my experience and judgement. Where additional specialist expertise or capacity would add value, I draw on trusted associates and partner organisations, bringing the right capability into the assignment while remaining personally involved and accountable.

“Fouzia's collaborative style and ability to help others navigate complex systems were central to allowing real alignment across health and local government.”
